Self Confidence begins in childhood

Self confidence! Where does it comes from? Is it a characteristic that we are born with, or do we learn it and cultivate it, as we go through life? The definition of self-confidence is being sure of yourself.  All people, are born with high self-confidence and self-esteem, while being a baby they feel perfect as they are without criticism and comparisons. As they develop, this alters through their parents filters and type of raising. Whatever they have heard from their parents regarding their potential, has become their reality.

Self-confidence is mainly established in our childhood and through our life experiences. For a child, knowing that he or she is loved unconditionally and by providing acceptance, encouragement and rewarding,  these practices help them to cultivate lifelong self-confidence and a sense of security. A child who has received lots of love, will take it for granted that he or she is valued, and will carry the feeling of confident throughout life. The opposite of that, will create limitations for the child, which will be visible throughout the adulthood. He or she will perceive himself in a certain way that will suppress his or her self-confidence and will demonstrate less success throughout life.

The finest and greatest gift , that you can provide your children is confidence, for it allows them to choose their own path in life. For those, and I was one of them, that your parents did not have this knowledge, stop blaming them for the past; They did their best, taking into consideration their consciousness. Release this blame and take charge of your life today.
